This project was delivered for a long-material warehouse in Poland, designed for the storage and automated handling of steel profiles and industrial long goods.
The system combines cantilever storage racks and beam racks with stacker crane and conveyor integration, providing an efficient solution for long material warehousing.

Customer Challenge
The customer faced several challenges in storing oversized long materials:
- 6-meter long products requiring specialized storage
- Heavy unit loads up to 1.5 tons
- Need for automated infeed and outfeed
- Limited warehouse footprint
- Requirement for stable and safe long-goods handling
Traditional floor stacking resulted in low space utilization and difficult material retrieval.

We designed a hybrid cantilever AS/RS system combining cantilever racks and beam racks.

Material Specifications

Stored goods include:
- 3300 × 800 × 700 mm
- 6000 × 800 × 300 mm
Among them:
- 95 positions dedicated to 6000 mm long materials
Automated Handling Desig
Long materials are stored on the cantilever side.
For inbound and outbound operations:
- stacker crane handling
- bottom beam conveyor line transfer
- automated transport in and out
This design significantly improves handling efficiency and reduces manual labor.
